I'm happy to have people on my friends' list if it helps to build up the discussion levels. Otherwise you tend to hop from discussion to discussion without knowing who anyone is, or ever 'meeting' anyone again.

i don't think so, adding friends is a big help because they might easily respond to any discussion you post and the more friends who respond the better.
