Start saving this new year!

I usually can't save money, because I tend to run out of them before getting my next payment. But after I get a new job (which I hope will be paid good) I'll start to save and maybe put the money in a separate bank account or something to prevent spending it on something stupid :)

Oddly enough after my divorce my spending habits changed so much. I had lived in a situation where the ex never paid bills, we never had money, it was just weird. Now, I pay all my bills and whatever is left immediately goes into a savings account. Unfortunately, with raising 3 teens it doesn't stay there long but at least I have it to go to when needed. It is a very hard thing to do. I have started so many savings to end up using the money because I really did not make enough to save anyway. I started last year after I paid a bill off that was costing $100.00 a week. once I paid that bill off I started taking this $100.00 and putting it in a lock box. It has grown to a LOT of money now. I will continue to save this forever. I am now going to be able to go on a very nice trip to see my son who is in Germany and I am in the USA. You have to find a way that will work. Start small just $5.00 a week and as you pay off bills add that amount to the savings. Lock the money away and forget about it.
