Hi does anyone hav experience in working in a BPO, non-voice division. Nowadays, working in a BPO has become even more stress. Usually a person is in the Office from a minimum of 10 hours to a maximum of 24 hours and more. He gets detached from his family, friends and the outside world. Recently there was an article quoting that the maximum percentage of suicides are by the software proffessionals.

That is a bad thing. By the way i believe that there are some instances like that. we have to get a way out. because BPO is getting spread every where in the world and by 2010 the people would be double for BPO works. This is a serious issue to take care.

My friend is working in a BPO.I think,we cannot consider it is a full time job.For one or two years this job is ok.We will get easily bored by doing the same job.If we look for salary, then this job is profitable compare to other jobs.

My brother in law was working in a BPO for some time and his hours of working were more than 8 that too at night, at that time he developed sleep disorder and gained lots of weight. Now he has switched over to another work but still his sleeping pattern which developed after working in BPO sometimes hampers his work.

Yes, working in a BPO certainly takes a hard on. It really gives much more strain while compared to non-BPO. But then I feel people are paid well in there. Apart from that most of the BPOs are providing home pick-ups and drops. That is really helpfull for the employees to concentrate to the job in hand. After all, every field has its own plus and minus.

See todays are changing very fast, ppl are no more with the regular 5 day week job, they work for all the seven days, they have lot of work to do, deadlines to meet, and at the same there are also cases where cross training is involved. I feel that ppl having known the fact that the work burden is going to be more on the coming days. they should try to adopt themselves to situation and make their mind relax whenever they find time. They should also handle any situation with ease. do some good exercise, have some good amount of sleep in the weekends instead of watching late night movie or TV Shows. plans their life well since its too short. who knows who lives till wat time
