is it wise for web pages in a website to carry different backgrounds or they should carry only one type of backgroun?

If it is a site you want people to visit, or a shopping site, or a site where people will need to read items on the site, it is best to go with what is most visually appealing. Are you trying to get their attention with flashing and pictures? Or do you want them to be able to read what is there. If backgrounds take too long to load, will visitors get discouraged and leave without ever seeing what the site is about? If the site is for your enjoyment only, then go with whatever makes you the happiest.

it depends what you wanna bring out in the website, however, it would still be better for them to sync-in the same background.

just bear in mind one factor, do not blend the background that'll make difficulty in reading your text by your audience.

Different backgrounds will require more images and will overload your website It will be better if you use just one background and that too if its transparent
