Netaji Subhas Ch. Bose fought whole-heartedly against the British for the independence of Mother India. He was prepared to go at any length to achieve his noble aim. His grand exit from India through Peshwar, dressed as a Moulavi astonished the British imperialists. He wanted to go to the USSR but time was not in his side. He had no time to wait and so went to Berlin instead and met the Fuhrer. He organised a National Army with the help of the Nazis from amongst the Indian POWs. He then made a daring underwater journey from Germany to Japan in a German submarine (at Cape of Good Hope he got himself transferred to a Japanese submarine, which is the first mid-sea transfer in a rough weather at night). At Japan he organised the AJAD HIND FAUZ (Indian National Army) with headquarters in Singapore. He marched with his army and liberated Andaman & Nicobar islans and through the dense forest of Burma upto Kohima. Naturally, at the end of WWII, with the defeat of Axis Power, the victorious Allied Power has termed Netaji as war-criminal, which situation still persists with the UNO records. Netaji has been awarded the highest award of INDIA but the contradiction remains. Don't you feel that the rising economic & military power INDIA, with a population of 1.2 Billion, is not doing enough to remove Netaji's name from the list of UN War Criminals???
