computer difficulty

Hi there. I was writting on mylot last night and my computer sut down twice. Does anyone know what it could be? My husband is mad at me because the computer is running slow lately and he says it is since I started on mylot but I don't believe that. I have a lot of spams on my e-mail address and I think it is because of this. By the way, how do you get rid of spams?

It could be that you've picked up a virus from one of the span emails if you open them by mistake. I checked mylot and its clean, so its not that. Run a good virus checker on your PC - if you haven't got one you really must get one. If you're online and using a microsoft operating system its a target for all the "get Bill Gates" brigade of nasties in this world. To get rid of spams, use the spam filter in your mail provider - it takes time to weed them all out but it gets better after a while. Hope this helps.

Thank you. I've just spent about an hour cleaning and filtering my mailbox. I told my husband already that we need to update our antivirus. I am persuaded that we have a virus on our machine.
