how to start a discussion to receive lot of responses

well, , first of all , , you must have a good topic, , those topics you think that will interest most of mylot users , , interesting ones , , and put your descriptions more precise as possible , , don't put topics that somehow may be offensive for others, , like religion for example , , you know , ,:-)

Well that's a great question. I have started a number of discussions and have had about half of them take off and the others just did very little. The idea is to ask a question or make a statement that will make people take notice or hit a nerve. Something like: I was reading an article about this man and women who made their three kids sleep in the same closet every night for 4 years. Well that might be a little extreme but if it hits a nerve you could get lots of responses. Also hobbies. If you have hobbies, get them listed and start talking about them.
