You might be right that rice is the source of some nutrients.
Rice provides 20% of world dietary energy supply. Rice also a good source of Thiamin, riboflavin and niacin. And unmill rice provides a great deal dietary fibre.
The nutrient weight contained depend to what variety the rice is. White, brown, red, purple, brown, genetic engineered and kind like that.
But rice alone can not supply all necessary nutrients for adequate nutrition. We still need meat, beans, fish and others.
The nutrients contained on rice could be lost depend on how we process it. is it milled or unmilled? is it properly washed or not?

great info tambangmas.. rice is the most common source of energy (from food), especially in third world countries. with it's high carbohydrate content, it can definitely supply a person with energy. Although it's true, rice alone cannot be a complete source of nutrients for the body to become healthy.
