I think this album is great! I fell in love with Yngwie listening to this album. I pray to be able to play guitar like him in this album!

I have not really listened to that album in a while. While it does have its unique qualities, particularly when he performs the material from his first two albums live, the albums I listen to most are the ones from after this one. Trilogy, Oddyssey, & Eclipse are the albums I listen to the most.

The last thing I bought was an instrumental album, where he worked with an orchestra. I cannot find the CD right now, as I played it, & then I thought I placed it wit my other Yngwie CD's, but apparently, it's like it sprung legs & walked out on me.

It's a great album, I think it's Yngwie's best one. My favorite songs are Far Beyond the Sun, Now Your Ships Are Burned, and As Above So Below.

Rising force show us how malmsteen is a genius. When i hear evil eye, black star, far beyond the sun, the ships are burned, the whole musics in this album, i don´t understand why people says " malmsteen = don´t have any feeling". These guys are totally insane! Maybe its because his style sounds repetitive, obviously, anyone guy wanna be like him! This makes him a true legend, like jimi hendrix or steve vai
