One Year Anniversary...

My girlfriend and my one year anniversary of being together is coming up very soon (on the 18th!) and I was thinking of getting her something really cute instead of something expensive. I was going to get a dozen roses and maybe some chocolates and a teddy bear. Does something like that sound good, or should I go all out and buy something expensive? I was also going to make a card (I'm not very creative and have never done it before, so I thought it'd be kind of thoughtful) and I was going to put a poem on it.
