I don't know what your idea of a fairly good income is, but I make about $200/ week working from home. I work part-time and can set my own schedule. With liveops there is a $30 fee for a background check, but it is legit. By the time you pay that, you pretty much have the job. There are some REAL jobs working from home. There are definitely more work from home jobs in the US than in the UK. I work from home doing a "proper job" and alongside that I am building up incomes doing another half a dozen things. Try http://www.real-work-at-home.co.uk if you are in the UK. Apart from the real jobs (employed/holidays/etc) there are also loads of other things to check out to see if they are right for you, including a number of free to start businesses. Everybody's different. Try a few things and see how you get on.

There is many many scams out there so be sure to always check into a company first! I would suggest searching sites like www.WorkatHomeCareers.com (they also have a great scam section) or Wahm.com for new job leads, Sometimes it is kind of hard to find what your looking for or what works for you so it can take time to get a wah job.
