Why do people around the world drop out from high school?

I think there is a problem with the Public school System. When I went to High School,I was unmotivated by teachers and staff that didn't care. In fact my guidance counselour recomended to both me and my parents that I drop out. So I did. The next month I took my GED and got thirty points away from a perfect score!! Both Parents and Schools need to get more involved in their children's education!

I dropped out of highschool not once, not twice, but 3 times. The final time was at the beginning of my sr year! I dropped out the first time because I was pregnant, then went back, and dropped again because I got kicked out of my house and had to work. Then, I got on my feet and went back, only to be faced with the same situations...I had been laid off, evicted, and was pregnant again...so I had to quit school again. I completed my GED certificate in June of 2006.
