Would You BE with Someone If They Were An Alcoholic and You Did Not DRINK?

Do you think it is possible to be with an alcoholic when you don't even drink alcohol? I have been around people that drink excessively and yes, some that were alcoholics, but I can't imagine living with it on a daily basis and the challenges you must go through to be able to be with them.

If he was causing my life to be misserable, no I could not put up with him. It is a sickness, but I would half to put my foot down and tell him, you either straighten up or I'm gone.

Hmm that's a difficult one because if you really love someone you want to be with them nomatter what. My boyfriend drinks quite a lot and i only have a glass or two. I made it quite clear after the last time we went out with our friends that i don't want to go out with him when he's getting drunk again. He's honestly like a different person, it seems to personify his bad points but it doesn't have this effect on everyone of course.

Yes, it does personify their personalty, sometimes for the worse and the worst part is that they usually never remember their behavior.

I know that I could not handle being with someone who drinks occasionally or is an alcholic. I do not drink at all myself and never have. I choose not to be around those situations. I also have never smoked so I choose not to be in those situations either.
