Yes I smoke. Is it bad for me? Maybe however so are many other things in life. Actually most things in life are bad for us and can effect others around us. Driving a car is bad for society and all the people out there having to breathe in it's fumes, but people enjoy driving, it saves them time, it enables them to do so much. Well smoking does a lot for me and I enjoy it.
What are some of the benefits I get? For one I can relax and unwind a lot faster then I can without it. I don't snack as much when I'm smoking as compared to when I didn't smoke. Also since smoking my blood pressure has lowered. Yes you saw that right. When I don't smoke my blood pressure rises but when I smoke my blood pressure is 110/70. If I don't smoke the doctors want to put me on medication. I'd rather smoke.

I am a smoker and i agree with you. It is bad for me, and i get pretty much no benefit. But like thousands of people i am addicted to it. Its also handy if you need something to occupy your time for 5 minutes, but then its not worth the health effects.
However, there is little evidence that it is bad for those around you, and less that it is worse for those around you. You will likely get more passive effects from walking down a road (car exhausts).
