Is homoeopathy a truly scientific medicine practice ?

Homoeopathy follows a different rule from alopathy . Some of the tenets they follow seems to be weird . They tells that the more dilute the medicine the stronger . Is it true ? If true how come this e so ? It is pertinent to mention here that a few years ago I myself got a great benefit from homoeopathy . I had been suffering chronically from feringitis and I went treatment under a homoeopath for full one year . I was relieved almost permanently . But afterwards in case of my wife's treatment i found it failed .
