im having a bit of a rant here but ive had a really bad day! I went to my local ford dealer as i have a split pipe on my car and they inform me i have to change this part for another part that is similar but wont fit directly onto my car and i have to replace 2 further parts costing me £90 i wasnt too happy but i purchased them as i knew i needed them as the old pipe i took off my car was discontinued. So i go to my car when i get home and i look for where to put the new parts and i can not find anywhere to put them so i go back upto the ford dealership and explain this, the parts guy said he couldnt help and their mechanics had apparently done the job before but they didnt have a clue how to fit them.
i am a novice mechanic i can do a service on a car change a few parts they told me put the old split pipe back on and bring it in and we will fix it and they will charge me £50 an hour to do the job and the job isnt going to be just one hour so it will cost me a fortune if i do that.
im a member of an online ford forum though and members are helping me work things out hopefully i wil lget a solution off them they usually know lots of things as for ford dealer useless!!

WOW - as this was posted a couple of months ago I hope you have resolved your problem!
My late uncle used to work at a Ford dealership. He was the top salesmen in his province. He asked for his daughter's 13th b-day off (she lived in another province0 and when they wouldn't give it to him, he quit, taken most of his clients with him across the street to the Mazda dealer! Way to stick it to Ford!

i did sort out my problem after all is good for now. sorry to hear about your uncle, but did you know ford own part or all of mazda? the equivilent ford in some countries is branded a mazda. in this country they had the ford fiesta and a mazda 121 at one point they both looked identical apart from the badges
