Is there a Jewish stronghold on the media in the United States?

I have asked my Jewish friends this and they all say, yes, but that I shouldn't talk about it for fear of being labeled anti-semitic. Wikipedia defines anti-semitisim as hostility towards the Jews. I don't feel hostle towards anyone or any group or race of people, yet I can't help but notice this. Am I wrong for simply making this observation? Would I be wrong for making that same observation if say all the Muslims, or Buddhist were buying up all the radio, TV, film production companies, and book publishers? It just seems that there is an imbalance in one group or race of people controlling something as powerful as the media, especially if that race or group of people make up less than 2% of the United States population. What do others think of this?
