I like dogs but I don't have a dog at home because my house is too small....I don't like cats

I prefer dogs over cats because you can trust them, they are reliable. Instead cats loves only being in a good house and receive foods. A dog instead can kill itself to save his owner! Anyway I can't hold dogs or cats in my home, because my mom has fear of them! ;(

I like both put prefer dogs. I need something that can protect me and alert me to when something is going on.
