Are CATS smarter than DOGS? What Do You Think? PROVE IT!!

Hello Mylot people, friends and friends of friends. I was reading an article lately that said cats are fairly smarter than dogs. I personally believe that is alot of balogna. How could you say something like that. I would say they were equal and that's being nice. Dogs do alot to prove how smart they are. However this is just my opinion. What's yours?

Personally, I think dogs are more intelligent, people say cats are smarter because they misinterpret a dogs behaviour anthropomorphically as servile.

I can definately agree with you there. Dogs aren't stupid, they are just misunderstood. That makes perfectly good sense to me.

well when you put it that way we misinterpret alot of animals, but i think they are actually equal.... my hubby had a cat when we were going out that if youd stop petting her,she nip your fingers, and then if you hid your hand she climb on you and lick your nose and if you ignored her then, then shed nip your nose....but at the same time my aunt had a dog that whenever the baby would start to try and crawl outside when we were bringing in groceries or something, the dog would pull the baby back by its diaper....
so i think its like this, cats and dogs are eaqually smart, but cats use it mainly for there own uses while dogs tend to help people more....

I think they're at least equal, and SOME cats may be a bit smarter than SOME dogs.
Cats are harder to train, but in my view this is almost an indication of intelligence rather than lack of it. Cats ARE certainly trainable, and pretty amazing when trained; but they have the intelligence to DECIDE whether they want to do what you request of them.
Many dogs are extremely intelligent, but I've met far more "dumb dogs" than I have "dumb cats" nonetheless.
