I am helping to plan a baby shower for my cousin-in-law, and we are trying to come up with different ideas for games, not just the regular same old games. Does anybody have any suggestions for this?

Hi-- we are actually planning a babyshower for a friend. If you type in babyshower in your search engine it will get you some free ideas for games. But, I don't know which ones you already know so here are some we did @ my shower.
Get rolls of toilet paper and have each person guess how much it would take to go around the belly and then you roll it around the preg. belly and see who was right.
We also did baby bingo.. and you can buy this game at dollar stores. Another one we did is similar to what the lady below is talking about.. but we got baby food jars and diapers and in each diaper we put some of the food and then had each person smell the diaper and try and guess what it was.
Another fun one is a survey multiple choice.. how well do you know the person and expectations for baby.. like what are they naming the baby if it's a boy/girl? what is the theme of the room?
Just a thought!

I definitely think I'm going to have to do the diaper one. We were going to do a baby food taste testing one, but smearing it in the diaper might be ALOT more fun!! Thanks so much guys!
I believe they did the toilet paper one for her first baby, I have done some searches, but I really wanted to try something different.

you can also do a word scramble game...like scramble up words like stroller, bassinet, highchair, and then whoever unscrambles all them fastest gets a prize.

I just recently attended my cousin's baby shower. We only had 3 games for the whole shower, but they were fun and everyone, even the older crowd, joined in. First game was to create a haiku in tag-shaped papers (I think the host is going to use it to make a baby book type of dedication book) and the pregnant woman decides who wins. The second game was word find (the host was the one who mixed up the letters). Third game was to write titles of songs with "Baby" in the title, team with most songs win. Teams were composed of three persons, except for the first game which was an individual thing.

When I put on a baby shower for my daughter-in-law, I searched the internet for different games. I wish I had saved the website. But there is one game that I loved even though some think it is gross. You take about ten different candy bars and mush each one into a diaper and people have to guess whats in the diaper. Its real funny to watch.

when i was in college my friends threw me a baby shower. we didn't have much money to plan anything big so i made up some games. the funniest one was a version of pin the tail on the donkey. instead of that though it was pin the embilical cord on the baby. it was a big hit and hillarious.
