what are ratings and points and stars?

Ratings - If you look on the far right side by your post you will see 3 boxes one has a "+", one has a "-" and the last has an "!". The + and - are used to indicate whether you think it was a good post or a poor one. As far as I can tell the only one who sees these are the site admin. The "!" is used to report a post that violates site standards. The stars and the number inside them are new. You get one after you have 100 posts. The formula to get yout rating inside your star has not been published but has to do with frequency and quality of your posts. With 10 being the best. Hope this helps.

Rating means the number beside your name.if you respond to a discussion or someone gives a + sign then it will be incremented.if someone gives you a - sign as it is not liked by them or deleted by mylot as it is against the guidelines then it will be decremented.! sign is for abuse or spam.Star sign is reputation.depending on the quality of the post mylot decides it and it will be from 1-10.it will be given only to members who have crossed 100 rating.

you can't know how much you ratings, basically it was + - ! button will rating you. points is number after your username 1 response 1 point, 1 comments 1 point , 1 discussions and get response 1 point. Stars is your reputation it's calculated very complex and no one know the alogarithm only mylot.

Rating system is to rate someone respond. You can see +, -, and ! mark next to the responses. + if they make good respond, - for bad respond and ! that means the respond was offence against you. Points is the number next to your names. It shows you how much you have post in the discussion, but if you post in the same topic twice, you won't get any points. Star rating is the rating system which will appear only if you have at least 100 post. It shows you how much the quality of your responses.
