With so much hustle and bustle in the world these days and so many things happening in our lives, i find that i need to take time out. Time for just me and my hubby but also time for just me.
My favourite place to go is the beach. I live not far and i love walking and running along the beach. I get so much satisfaction and peace just being there.
If hubby and i want to get away, we usually go camping and 4w driving. Some sort of remote place with beautiful scenery is our choice.
Where is your favourite place for time out and why?

We live in a rural area and when hubby is at work I am "Home alone" LOL as children have left home now. It is very quiet here even though there are houses around so this is where my time out would be now! But if with hubby we go down to the beach (Torquay) and just walk around it and watch the surfers and find that is so peaceful that is all we need.

If I want "me" time I generally find a nice quiet place to just curl up and lose myself in a book...I can spend a couple of hours like that if no-one interrupts me! lol But if I want quiet time with my other half we generally drive into town to get lunch or something - it's a 30 min drive each way and we usually spend a couple of hours in town so plenty of time to get sick of each other again! =)

I think my favorite place to be alone would have to be in my bed...with fresh covers and a completely dark, quiet bedroom..I would need at least 8 hours to just enjoy my sleep..

This is a very good question. I don't get much of a chance to have alone time just for me. Usually I have my daughter with me. But when I do, I'd say I like to go shopping, even if it's just window shopping or I like to go for a walk or just chill at home with a movie. It all depends on my mood really. If it's just my partner and I, we like to go and do things together, like go to the movies.
I have yet to go camping and 4WDing with our friends, but I'm looking forward to it.
Hope you have a great day.

Id love to go shopping as my quiet time but then i spend to much money and get in trouble when hubbygets home so then it turns into oh gee i gots to hide what i bought!!

I never have my own space, my bedroom is always full of people and i hate it, and because im like a perfectionist and get angry quickly, i have panic attacks where i can't breath and crap, so i lock myself in the bathroom and just shove my head in water.
It makes me feel much better.

Considering that my youngest recently started pre-school I will have 4hours of free time with no kids to my self. I am actually going to be catching up on some sleep. With the slight schedule change my sleep habits have changed and quiet time is almost non existant. With my younges going to school I will be able to catch up and still have ME time.

For me the best place to be alone and contemplate life is the bath tub. Full of bubbles and nice and hot. The relaxing nature of it helps put life in order.

Since I am living in the city, I prefer to be in my room whenever I want some privacy. I turn off the lights and feel the silence of the room. It would have been better if I live in a nearby river or beach because rushing water calms my mind.

I don't like to drive, and I don't have amy money at all, but I do like to go to my college to get away from my dysfunctional house life. You know, whatever your place to be alone is, it can be your home away from home. Currently I am trying to find my place so I can study up on how I can become wealthy, so that I can move out of my family house into my own. But I currently live with my dysfunctional family, so I am trying to study up on how to make money, on wealth, on how to br rich, and to earn enough for a new and better lifestyle. So far the only place I can do that is at college. But I need a new place for my privacy fast.

My favourite alone time place is in front of the tv with a good movie playing on or sometimes i drive to this deserted place a few miles from my house.. i especially lov this place in the early mornings and during the nights . since it is on a hill i can look down on the city with all its lights in the cold air.. it looks so beautiful.

What is this “along time” you speak off? It is very rare I get to be home alone, as my husband works evenings & he is home when I finish work & our daughter is home when he goes to work. I get to drive to & from work by myself, but that isn’t always relaxing.
We are looking at going away to the coast for our wedding anniversary still not alone, but child free for the weekend hopefully that will be relaxing..

ok sorry...didn't read ur post properly...When i need to be alone far away from others it is only when i feel emotionally upset...I've felt so only few number of times...when i had a quarrel with my parents (i hardly quarrel with my friends, even if there was its only a friendly quarrel)...At such times I just go to my room and play some games on my computer or on my PS2......and i like action/adventure and soccer games

The best place for me, when I need to get away from all the stresses of life. Such as family, friends, strangers, work, etc. This has to be the only place that is absolutely free and nobody can come with you. Its certainly not a very distant place and I always go there when I need too. The place I like to go from time to time, is my mind... I said all of that simply because I like to meditate a lot. If you meditate you'll understand what it does to you.
