The perfect "cuddle-up" dog?

Do you have a "cuddle-up" dog? You know, that kind that snuggles and will sit on your lap while you watch tv? I'm thinking about getting a dog, and I definately have the responsibitly and everything, but I don't know what kind. I want something not to big, gentle, ya know? One that will make me feel good to be around that will comfort me. Do you know what I'm talking about?

All depends on the dog. I have two australian shepard that weigh 50+ lbs each. They LOVE to snuggle with me. They get up in the bed and plop down as close as they can. I love it too.
maybe a small dog like a poodle, pekaneese, beagle, cocker spaniel or weiner dog, might be more what your looking for.

I used to have a dog but he was a big one. the only dog I have now is a soft toy and he sleeps on my bed. I do miss having a dog and will get one that is small as well. I actually like foxy's and they are usually alert and do like the cuddles as well. It is all in the upbringing
