My son could be dying. Advise please!!!!

My 5 year old son was recently diagnosed with JDMS; a rare autoimmune disease that strikes only 3 out of every 1 million chirdren. There is currently no cure. Other than giving him the medicine recommended by his doctor, I feel helpless. What more can I do? Thanks in advance for any advise you may have.
