world oil VS fuel prices

Can anyone tell me why when we see world oil prices go up fuel prices instantainously go up, but when oil prices go down we dont see fuel prices go down for days and sometimes a week or more?

What the "Big Oil Producers" would have you believe is that they are merely passing on the price of doing business in their chosen field. The facts are that they are charging today what they want to get tomorrow.

I have often wondered that too. My conclusion is they are all a bunch of crooks looking to get top dollar while screwing us out of ours!
