Should a married man have platonic woman friend?

In the course of work and other networking, somehow a man bound to know a couple of woman (his colleagues or acquaintances) that he can get along rather well and comfortable to confide in them. Should he develop such relationship on a platonic basis? Well, married women out there, would you be agreeable to your husbands having such friends?
