Even in his fading years he has strike some gold with this big offer of 1M$ a day with galaxy in Major soccer league in US. I dont think this record will be broken easily atleast in next few years. I dont think other stars are as charismatic to get such a big deal

I was also wondering about this. He's not performing well in both England and Real Madrid, but he still can get so much $$ per day. I think, he's not only a football player now, but also a star. That's his attractive part. ^_^

I don't really agree with your comment. Without Beckham, England wouldn't even progress into the quarter finals. His free-kicks, assists or indirect goals won them the match against teams like the T&T, Paraguay, Sweden through out the group stages. He is still a footballer and a star and his free-kicks are probably still the best in the world. Real Madrid threw him at all sorts of weird positions and expect him to slowly fit there, and with so many coaching changes and they not playing him that often, of course we don't see his true ability. Every time there is a big game, Beckham shines in a way... the goal against Greece in world cup qualifying, the assist for Man Utd during the Champions league final. Please stop crapping and just be stereotype on a certain part of his life which of course the media brainwashes all of us and look at his contributions. He may made a few mistakes like missing a penalty, but who of us here doesn't make any mistakes?

ya man that's true £70,000 a day. oh gosh i dont know what would i do with so much money. as LA Galaxy's "designated player" - a star name, signed to attract publicity and sponsorship - he will be paid a playing salary of $10 million per year. that is five times more than the rest of the Galaxy squad put together. and with what he will earn through endorsements, image rights and business ventures, it has been suggested he will bring in as much as £128 million over five years. it is undoubtedly a tremendous amount of money, but with Victoria's spending habits he may well need it. truly, even after not playing as per his fan's expectations in the world cup, he still has managed to grab a deal as big as this.

I think by the time Beckham retires, he can start planning to buy the England FA or Wembley stadium or start a soccer team and sorta throw his boots on Ferguson one way or the other. This record deal cannot definitely be broken by any other players considering Beckham might also have the "Spice girls" factor through Victoria which indirectly they are now Hollywood stars on football fields. Thus in a way he's still not really making much since definitely his popularity and capability can earn him a lot more. Anyway, just an opinion and a possibility... cheers.
