Should Euthanasia or Mercy killing be made legal in all countries??

In many countries, euthanasia or mercy killing is legal in cases of people suffering from terminal illnesses.... But in most countries, including India, its still illeggal & amounts to culpaple homicide..... I feel, every person has a right to live & also die a peaceful death...A person suffering from terminal illness also make s his kin & family suffera lot...In such cases, i feel euthanasia should be made legal, but of course wid the consent of the patient himself... What are your views & opinions??
