What were the tricks/tips which you used to propose to a girl?
Some tips will be pretty ordinary, but those can do wonderfuly things...

a romantic dinner and some red roses. a nice night out and then you go on your knees and pop the question

I like this. My fiance proposed at his family reunion in front of everyone. We were out at a picnic at the park and it was about 2 in the afternoon. I was sitting on the picnic table and I turned and there he was. On one knee, and he asked me to marry him. There wasn't any glitz or glamour and it was still perfect because it was from the heart.
