I used to read a lot during my school days. I usually take one or two books from my school library every week and reads it. But since i got a computer that good hobby of mine is no longer with me. I am always in front of computers. I wish I get some time to read books but computer is playing its villain role. Anyone with this same problem? Were you able to overcome it? I wish I could.

Nothing can beat reading 'good ol library books'.
It certainly was great when i had time to pick a book n sit in my favourite corner.
But i guess times have changed n u need to squeeze out time for urself when it comes to Non -Computer activities!!!

Tried a lot to make some time for books but it never happened. As said time have changed and most of us almost lost interest in books and I think books are becoming alien to most of us, especially computer professionals. Thanks for your response.

Either it is because you are not fond of books or/and computers.I am fond of both, and i mean books other than comics. But Computers took over those reading habits. Thank You for your response.

I think times change and our priorites also change and technology also changes. In life change is only one thing that is constant. i feel you can also read a lot more articles that ar updated so it can also be fun. As i enjoy reading what others write on mylot forum.
but if you really want to read books then you can always find time to do that just make it your priority. Moreover if your computer or internt down you can always read your favourite book or article and have fun.

I had tried giving priority to books over computer once. But soon I came to know that i am still in front of the computer. It is like I am almost addicted to internet and computers which is very harmful. I think i need to control. I think I may stop subscription to internet connection soon. Thank You.

Sitting infront of computer for long hours will definately result in adverse development in the health. Don't use the computer hours together at the cost of health. Intially, when I purchased computer, I used to sit longer time. Now I use computer in limited hour. Computer will play as a villin as long as you use it longer time. It is a friend, if use in limited hours.

Reading e-books and normal books are different. I have tried that but it wont give you the enjoyment that you would get while reading books made out of paper. Thanks for that suggestion.

i totally understand how u feel. i used to do pretty much the same, 1 or 2 books to read over the week during school years... that until i got a laptop. after the laptop familly problems showed up, and it seemed to me more relaxing to just go to my pc instead of reading a good book. now i'm planning a new start for myself. i will move to another city and start there all over again. i will dedicate a little time each day for reading, and even if i won't be able to go back to 1-2 books a week, at least i will start my good habbit again.
good luck in finding a way of going back to good old reading habbit

At last I found someone who was able to understand my problem. Well by this time I hope you would have started a new life with more books and less computer. Anyway I am still not able to start that life. May be I may start reading books soon as I planned to remove my internet connection. Thank You and this goes as the best response.
