Should my friend still gives child support?

He had no choice but to pay the money, but he had better be keeping his own record of payment only paying by check or get a signed reciept every time he gives her money, if it isn't going through the state. It will be his burden to prove he paid it, if they ever go back to court.

He has to pay child support or he can go to jail. He can ask for an audit though on what the money is going to.

He should pay reguarless, although if he beleives the child is being raised in an unhealthy environment such as one to gambling he should try to get custody of the child andgive the proper upbringing.

If your friend is worried about his kids he has the right to take her back to court. He can ask for full custody if her gambling takes aways from the kids. He can ask the court to put the money in trust for his kid so that it is monitored by someone else. Refusing the money could cause more problems. If her gambling is out of control the child or children will need the money he sends. I still think you need to think about the kids and what is best for them not yourself.

Your friend has two options, one, pay her the money becuase that's the law, or fight for the custody of his child. He has a legitimate case in court to take custody of the child if the ex is a gambler. He has to be able to prove that she is a gambler though.

It doesnt matter if he should or not, the courts will make him pay child support regardless if the mother uses it for gambling or anything else!

If your friend has a court order to pay child support, then they need to send it. If they dont it will cause more harder problems later. The longer they dont send now, the more they will have to send later. And if it goes to the ex wifes gambling then get proof and have your friend show it to a judge or a lawyer that the child support is not going to the child but to the ex wife for gambling reasons and it will get taken care of.
