Yesturday i went to feed my hamster and she didnt seem hungry and her right eye was'nt opening at first. It seemed like she was having some trouble with it. So i watched her for a few mins and she eventually opened it but i dont know whats wrong, she has never had that before and there does'nt seem to be any discharge coming from it. When i fed her i was giving her the veggies that she loves and she was'nt intrested which also worried me a bit. Should i take her to the vet?

You may want to call the vet and see what they say. It depends a lot on her age. She could just be getting older. If the eye didn't have any discharge it could be just something irritated it when she was sleeping or she just wasn't awake yet. Hamsters are notcturnal so during the day they might be slow to respond. If she continues to not eat as she was I would definitly get in touch with the vet. It's better to be safe then sorry.

Thanks for the info. she is about a year old. i kinda figured the same thing about her sleeping, she sleeps about 20 hrs a day lol so i figured maybe i just caught her when she just woke up. But i'm going to keep a close eye on her until i think she is back to normal.
