dot gain standards in sheetfed printing

i want to know what is the standard in sheet fed offset printing. And what is the suitable control method for dot gain.

I use for photos 150 if they are more than 10x10cms and 100 if they are smaller. Offset printing is usually best to use in 300dpi at least. You can use the adobe photoshop for adjusting images and photos like tifs, etc and corel draw and its printing devices to do so.
