What is God ?

For those who really don't understand why is the world so obsessed about god, and religion, and for those who know the answer and believe they can share it, i ask:
What is God ?
Why does he exist (if) ?
If he is in fact almighty/invincible, how do you responde the paradox of "can he create something that destroys him" ?

God is a manifest of hope. As civilizations believe in a god for their (and only their) interest, the commun interest (for the good of all) transforms in a rule, and a religion is born. That simple. Takes many years, but god it's just... us.. creating a personality accordingly with our wishes, hopes, desires, etc...
