BRAZILE FOOTBALL is best.
The name Ronaldo and its variants, Ronaldinho ('little Ronaldo') and Ronaldão ('big Ronaldo') [1], are common in Brazilian football. The variants have been used to distinguish players of the same name in the Brazilian national team. With retirements in the team, players can sometimes drop the additional variants in their name, for example, the current Ronaldo (Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima) was previously called Ronaldinho to distinguish him from Ronaldo Rodrigues de Jesus (also known as Ronaldo and Ronaldão) and the goalkeeper Ronaldo Soares Giovanelli who were also used in the team at the time. After their retirement he became 'just' Ronaldo, with Ronaldinho being used for a short time for Ronaldo Guiaro. The current Ronaldinho (Ronaldo de Assis Moreira) was also known as Ronaldinho Gaúcho to further separate him from the above Ronaldo (as well as the other 3 Ronaldos) when he was given the same name. Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima, nowadays the most common use of the term Ronaldo, currently playing for Real Madrid. Also called Ronaldinho within Brazil to distinguish him from Ronaldo Rodrigues de Jesus and Ronaldo Soares Giovanelli (see below)
Ronaldo de Assis Moreira, more commonly known as Ronaldinho, currently playing for Barcelona. Also known as Ronaldinho Gaucho within Brazil to distinguish him from Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima (above) who was also known as Ronaldinho.
Ronaldo Rodrigues de Jesus, 'Ronaldão', a 1994 FIFA World Cup winner (also best known as Ronaldo for a time)
Ronaldo Soares Giovanelli, a goalkeeper in the early 1990s
Ronaldo Guiaro, a 1996 Olympic Football bronze medal winner, given the name Ronaldinho (used before 1997)
Ronaldo Silva, a 1984 Olympic Football silver medal winner.
