They may seem healthy, but these snacks can be stealth fat bombs.
Banana chips. Many brands are covered in sugar and fried in coconut oil, so they're loaded with saturated fat. One serving can contain as many calories as potato chips and more saturated fat than a large order of french fries.
Yogurt-covered raisins. The coating contains some yogurt powder but is primarily sugar and palm kernel oil and nearly all that fat is saturated. In fact, they have more fat and just as much as chocolate- covered raisins. They also contain slightly less iron per serving than plain raisin.
Veggie chips. Unless veggies are listed first on the ingredient list, these chips are made primarily from potato flour, with vitamin-free vegetable puree added for color and flavor. They usually have a little less saturated than regular chips, but the same calories and total fat.

Hi, nnsb75. Thanks for the helpful insightful information. I have ate a few banana chips that was in my fruit and nut mix. I love them. But, I don't eat them as much. The other foods I will make sure that I keep an watch on when it comes to eating them.

I find it very interesting what you have to say about the yogert covered raisins. I never ate very many of the Veggie chips. I guess we are better off eating the snack in it natural form, bananas from the peel raisins plaine and veggie chip from the real carrots cauliflower from the Head.
