Dowry

Nice topic & I am detailing dowry system in our country:- Dowry in our country is offensive and punishable like a crime. Though people want dowry directly to girls parent for marriage a girl. For this love marriage is very difficult in our country as it resist by boys family for loss of dowry. Dowry have two type direct and indirect. Some girls parent seeking highly educated or rich businessman by giving dowry as gift. I think giving gift without force to a bridegroom is not dowry. Whatever is dowry is a curse for poor family and it must be abolished by social revolt not by rule.

i agree with you dowry is an evil and a curse on our society....it is just another mirror which shows how low a person can go down when after money...i do not understand how people expect money from someone who is leaving all her family and relatives behind for making new relations...
