how deep is your love for photography's sake?

I like seeing how different and unique I am to others. I also like seeing how alike I am to others. I have found photography has set me free. It is an art for me. I have a way to express myself and the way I express myself through my photos is unique to me. At the same time, I have seen photographers who are more seasoned than I and are a lot like me through their photographs. By that, I mean, I could have just as easily been standing where they were standing and seen what they saw and taken photos of it. I have found through photography as human beings we are more alike eachother than different. That brings me hope and peace. Photography has taught me to take things more slowly and to appreciate my surroundings more. I look at things more carefully now. The world is so full of ugly and hurtful images but it is still a very beautiful place. I wouldnt trade being a photographer for any other career. The freedom to be me is too great a thing to throw away.
