Apples,potatoes,onions taste the same but we enjoy apples b coz they smell sweet....

No they don't all taste the same. They all taste quite distinctively different. Taste and smell are strongly connected senses (if your nose is blocked, you can't taste anything - you need to be able to smell properly in order to taste properly), so anything that smells different to something else will always taste different too. I don't know who told you that they all taste the same, but let me assure you they're completely wrong, or playing a joke on you.
