500 posts before you can paste?!?

What is the deal with the thing about needing 500 posts before you can paste in a discussion. During my discussions there is quite a few times when i'll write a long response thats very detailed, then when i try to submit it i'm just taken back to the discussion, without my post.
This is very irritating, and sometimes i actually went to the trouble of writing it again (less detailed because it's the second time) only for it to happen again.
So i decided to copy the whole thing before i submit it, so that i could paste it to save the time of rewriting it. But now i see that until i've made 500 posts, i cant.
I understand how this may lower the amount of spammers slightly, but it presents quite an irritation for me.

They are still working out all of the kinks in here, and this is still a new message board they're working on, so just wait a little bit more, and keep posting in here until you reach 500. Normally I would settle for 100, but it's their decision, not mine.

It is to avoid spamming here! But I think they are too harsh on the new users by not allowing them till 500. Sometimes I give up if lost the matters i have written!
