Trying to understand

Perhaps all of you here can help me to understand this. Why would people promote online earning sites to get referrals before they have actually been paid? They might have earned a lot of money but they haven't received it yet. I can't understand passing those sites on to friends and others to get referrals. How do they know they aren't scams? I see this happen a lot not only on here but other places. When you ask them if they got paid they will either not answer or you get "Well I've earned this amount" but earn and paid aren't the same thing as we all probably know. For myself until I get the money I do not recommend anyone joining something. I've been burnt by a few that I've been told they pay out when in fact they don't. Yes I have a website for getting referrals and it's listed in my profile but I do not list sites on there I haven't gotten paid for.

I agree, I have a website for referring people to the sites I use to earn money but I have only listed those that have actually paid me! There are a lot out there that are a scam and you think they are fantastic because you earn money so quickly and then you don't get paid, very annoying!

Same here. I only list ones I have received cash from. I had one recently that I saw several say they got paid from them (not earned but paid) and you know what? They were supposed to pay in 48 hours, a week later I still haven't received payment after asking for payout. You never know. There are so many scams out there. It's very irritating.

Hmm I always proofed myself before I promote my link into other. For example, I need to do survey. At least I knew 1 people or more have been paid. Like when first time I join Mylot, I dont promote it yet. But after I see so many poeple say thx that they were paid, I put the refferal link to my site And I also proof that my other program is paying ^^ I feel really guilty if someone got scamed because of me T___T

Well I am guilty as charged for this one - I started promoting Mylot before I was paid. But now, seeing as other people have been paid, I will promote more often!

When you have hundreds of different people saying they did get paid I can at least understand it in that situation. It's when you find out no one has ever been paid and they are still trying to get referrals to them. That is what makes no sense to me.

I have often wondered this too. I have been one of those people that have signed up for something because someone said that they had made x amount of dollars, but forgot to mention that they had not been paid for it yet. I no longer even listen to people anymore about what they earn unless they have proof and even then I have to wonder as with computers it is real easy to make up a fake check or even doctor accounts to make it look as if they earned more than they did. I also have my own site and like you unless I have actually recieved payment it is not listed.

I agree it is very easy to fake documentation on being paid. I don't really ask for proof but if I hear from several they have been paid I will at least look into the site. I do not rely on it when they say "They've earned". Earned doesn't mean a whole lot when you go to spend the money and it's not there. Good to know I'm not alone in waiting on getting referrals till I have money in hand.

I personally would not recommend any site that I have not been paid from. I understand you make more money with referals however you get nothing if the site doesn't pay out. I do however read the post about making money online and then I look at the site myself. A lot of the adds that I have seen on here I have not signed up for because I am not sure about them. I am still a little sceptical about this site but I am giving it my best shot to see what happens. If this site works out for me then I will recommend it to my friend, but not till I have recieved one paycheck.

Yeah it doesn't matter how many you have as being referred from you if you never get paid. It's a bit pointless. I can tell you I was skeptical too about Mylot but I did get paid. I do know though until you get paid you'll wonder too and that's fair. I don't blame you a bit. I was the same way.

I agree as well I never promote any program until after I know for sure they really do pay I have been online doing paid things for about 8 years and have seen so many programs come and go.

I agree with you. I didnt tell any one about mylot untill I got paid by them myself. I dont like lying to people saying I got paid when I never did. People are not stupid they can see that you were lying. I have to admit I love mylot and I am totally addicted and if someone wants to earn some pocket change then I will tell them about mylot. I am testing out another website as well to see if they pay. Once I receieve payment(or not) then I will take the next step.

If you find a good one that does pay let me know :) I'm always willing to try one that someone says they have received payment from. I too waited till I got paid before telling my friends about it. I love it too. Very easy to become addicted I know.

Because they're very naive and painfully optimistic. Either that, or they work for the sites and are just trying to increase their professional profit. Forum plants are pretty common these days. I don't bother with any sites other than mylot, and I joined after I had seen plenty of proof of payment.

That is a good point. They could work for the company and seeking to find others that way. I wait and go with ones I have heard from people they got paid, then I'll try it but still won't refer till I've gotten cash in hand. I don't like to take chances with my friends either.

When I first started here, I was so excited about the potential and just enjoyed being here. I did tell my friends on another site about it, but I also told them that I hadn't been paid yet and would let them know when I determined whether it was real not. I gave the link anyway and said if you want to look at it yourself, please go ahead. Then, when I did I get paid, I shouted it from the rooftops! Woo-hoo! MyLot is real!

Well,I use to reccomend sites that, altough I haven't been paid by them, I know that some people I trust (friends, families) have been paid by these sites.Sometimes I worked on sites that were a real and big SCAM just because of referral links,so I know how is it.

i tend to stay away from things which seem to initialy promote reffering people quite prominantly i like to get into things and earn off them before i get other people to join them. i am really rubbish at getting refferals on anything i may be lucky on some things and get maybe 3 at the most but they tend not to do much so i dont get very far with any of it. i genuinely want to make a good income off the internet but it is hard with all these scams about, you think to yourself how am i going to promote my site without lies and get people to join me but its difficult to do so as the scams seem a lot more appealing to people as they tend to lie and give you big promises

Oh I know. I've run into many of the scams myself. They promise nice things and then you find out they never pay. Been there, done that. One reason I don't promote till I have cash in hand. The good ones might not give a ton of money but at least they pay. That to me is important. I'd rather make a little money and actually get it then waste my time and energy (let alone dreams) on false promises. If you are looking for legitimate ones to check out take a look at my site, it's on my profile. There are a few there that I have been paid from. Waiting on a few more to add in yet.

In order to expand, you need people and the best way to get people is to refer and people refer when get something. And as for the earnings, no one knows until they reach the payout, so they just cross their finger and hope that its not a hoax. I bet you already earned a lot.

Maybe what's on their mind is to earn money. They are so positive that whatever they are doing will really earn them some money that's why they are doing that. And also maybe the scammers are the one who's putting the referral links everywhere.

Yes I agree. There are lots of referrals I received everyday in my email. My advice is, before attracting other people to a earning site, better make sure that it is not a scam. Otherwise, you just get another person be fooled by scammers.

Gullability. If people weren't so gullible those sites couldn't exist & I wouldn't get all those e-mails from phishers hoping I'll bite. Seems to be a "lets exploit the idiots" mentality going about. Personally I'd rather eliminate the idiots then the lazy people who'd prey on them. I haven't goten paid yet, so I haven't started promoting mylot yet. I'd still be doing this even without the money probably just on another site like yahoo Q & A.

According to my opinion, people promote online earning sites to get referrals before they have actually been paid is not uncorrect act, why? because it depend on their preference how to start earn money and which one they think that can make money faster than other choice. Furthermore, people has different in thinking from others. So i think it is not a big deal to debate why some people choose to promote online earining sites to get referral before they have been paid. Thanks & Regards, Irma
