For all the moms and dads out there, what are your views on daycare? What do you look for in a daycare? Are you against daycare in general and prefer stay-at-home parents?

i am a stay at home mom right now but I use to work at a day care. I dont think you should put your child in day care if they are real young but its ok after a while. My kids were in the same day care that I worked at. My daughter didnt start day care till she was 14 months old and my son was 3. My other daughter was 4 and went to school.

For the first few months of a babies life the parent should always be with thier kid...As the baby gets older daycare is fine as long as you truly don't neglect your responsibilites as a parent...Some parents take advantage of day care...dropping their kids off as early as possible and picking them up late...My mom has always taken care of my neices and nephews...I come from a big family..She doesn't mind it at all..She would much rather not sleep or get any rest then not know how her grandchildren are being taken care of...There have been many cases where daycares neglect children..If I had to leave my child at a daycare I would first ask for references and once in a while check up on my kid...just to be on the safe side!
