What is the most important part of a child's life?

I think the most important think in a child's life is being happy and having a caring family...I personally had a crappy child hood...I'm 22 and my nephew is 14.....so when he was born I was 7...still young...but I remember my sister treating him like crap and abusing him...And now that im an adult i realize that he had the most crappy childhood...makes me want to cry...children should have a happy childhood....having a caring and loving familyshould be the first things on my list!
