well in my home town we have Brook Park Home Days, it's always the weekend after the 4th of July and it's just a big carival with the best fireworks, people from all over come see them cause they are so good, but where I live now in Califoria we have Harbor Days down at the beach and it's a street fair type thing

Hello usmcgtwife, Thanks for responding to my discussions I really appreciate it alot. We just had our 45th Apple Day Festival I didn't get to go this year which is a bummer. We have alot of great singers come in a give free concerts This year the main attraction concert was Crystal Gayle. But Harbor days down at a beach sounds like fun. Especially siince it is gettting to be in the 40's during the day and nights here in Kentucky. Have a nice day.

Karwachauth-is a festival celebrated by indian married woman who fast the full day praying to God for their Husband's long life and then break their day long fast with prayers in the evening and then eating the first bite and drinking the first drop of water from their husband's hand.....all married women are decked in their best this day and its nice to see them

We have one called the festival of light and it's so cool, i am thinking of selling my jewelry there one year, they promote arts crafts and music, it's really awesome

I reside in India, Kolkata (Calcutta) city. In this city Durga Puja have started from today. It is a four day festival. This great festival attracts people all over the globe.
This Puja is also celebrated in other countries also.

Hello skc_chak, Welcome to mylot and thanks for posting to my discussion it is greatly appreciated. Wow, I bet India is beautiful at this time. I will have to look up the Puja so I can get an idea of what it is like. I love festival time it is a happy time usually for those who can join in and celebrate at the festivals. He had our 45th Apple Day Festival this month..It brings only those around our town and maybe a few counties over..Well, thanks again and happy posting hope you like it here at mylot it is a good place with alot of good people so hope you enjoy.
