hi I have a friend who went to collage to try and get a job but no one will hire her and I think that is so unfair I also have a son who was making like $17.00 an hour and he done his things on the weekend went into work on Monday and had a random drug test and then he was laid off because it was still in his system his boss told him he would had been better off doing Crack he could had kept his job because the crack does not stay in your system that long MY son said that he would never work again if had to do crack in order to keep a job. and he got that job with a 9th grade education and now he is making about the same as before been a constuction worker

I feel college is over rated. My brother never finished high school and is getting paid more than someone I know who finished college. I just don't understand some jobs say you have to have a degree but yet they don't pay worth a crap. I almost told my daughters not to go but I couldn't do that to them. I hope things change soon otherwise their degrees won't mean a thing

Please never tell them education is not worth it. Even if it doesn't help them to get better jobs. Poeople should constantly work to improve their knowledge and understanding and due to the fact tha most people wont take it upon themeselves to educate themselves I feel that college is a great structured institution. Remember ignorance blossoms in the absence of education.

It all depends on what you consider a good job. If you mean less effort and more money education is the key. On the other hand if you don't mind doing back breaking work you can always find a job making an ok salary. I mean you can at the most expect to survive to the lower middle class to the middle class if you are very financially smart but that is about the most you can look to advance in society without education. Unlike a person with an advanced education the lowest possible salary would be about 25 dollars per hour. Your friend probably didn't do enough research in her field of study before going to college otherwise she would have known the market for getting a job.
