yup i love juicy, sweet, ripe yellow mangoes... they're the best! although they're also bad for dieters because of the very high sugar content

Did you know ...
The Mango tree plays a sacred role in India; it is a symbol of love and some believe that the Mango tree can grant wishes
The mango originated in Southeast Asia where it has been grown for over 4,000 years. Over the years mango groves have spread to many parts of the tropical and sub-tropical world, where the climate allows the mango to grow best. Mango trees are evergreens that will grow to 60 feet tall. The mango tree will fruit 4 to 6 years after planting. Mango trees require hot, dry periods to set and produce a good crop. Most of the mangos sold in the United States are imported from Mexico, Haiti, the Caribbean and South America. Today there are over 1,000 different varieties of mangos throughout the world.
Here is a cool website for Mango recipes: http://www.freshmangos.co...
I have not ever had mango juice. After doing this research, I am running out to buy a few mangos and I am going to add them to my salads. Thanks for enlightening me on the benefits of mangos.

Yes, I love mangoes - any way at all, any time at all.
I particularly like a mango salad with fish. (mango, avocado, cashews and grapes in lettuce leaves with thick mint sauce or lemon juice mixed with minced ginger)
Did you know that mangoes are the "most eaten" fruit in the world?

Heya Kathy77,
I love mangoes too but they are usually a treat for us as they are so expensive over here in Western Australia.
When we do get them sometimes I put them in fruit salad or eat them for afternoon tea. I usually have the pip to suck and give my daughter the fleshy bits all cut up. They are so messy though so we usually eat them outside on the front verandah.
Tanika.
