I went to Puerto Vallarta this past weekend, and holy jesus, I'm regretting it. Here are a list of the things that happened TO me while I was there.
A. Food poisoning
B. Sand Flea Bites (ITCH LIKE A Mo-Fo!)
C. Five year old mexican boy slapped my butt
D. I was proposed to by some random Mexican-tequila-making man
E. Cut my foot open with a glass at The Zoo (bar)
F. Sunburn (woo hoo!!)
G. Stuck in customs on the way back because I looked "sick, and unsafe to enter the US".. because of the food poisoning.
It was NOT the best experience... so, if youre heading to Mexico.. don't eat the meat/raw foods... stay off the beach...stay away from the tequila factories..don't drink too much at the bars.. and drink as much caffeinated beverages as possible before crossing customs. :)

All, in all, why not avoid crossing the mexican boarder for all eternity and head up north to Canada and have a decent holiday time? It'd sure make up for this 3rd world experience you seem to have gone through ;)

Chrisie, gald to hear that you made it back okay. Sounds like you had a wonderful time and have plenty of stories to tell. It sounds like you were a very popular girl down there in Mexico, you have five year old slapping your butt and a guy proposing to you.... what was your answer? Do we need to start looking for a wedding present? Where are you registered?
Thanks for the tips about Mexico, but I don't think that I will be heading there anytime soon. I certainly don't want some five year old slapping my butt.

That's a shame! I went there a lot when I was in High School and never had that rough of a time... I guess maybe it's better when drinking is legal there and not at home lol! Hope you recover from your vacation...
