I think that identity theft is one of the biggest risks to consumers in the market today. In order to prevent it from happening to you, you just have to be extremely careful about who has your personal information, and just how well you deal with your credit cards, documents, and online life. People try to steal your information in order to run-up charges on you, which they might never have to pay. It is a problem for sure, and the only way to really avoid it is to always be careful with your finances.

unfortunately i have been a victim of identity theft at one time and it isnt fun. I just had to get all new banking checks and credit cards because of it. My social security number was changed and it was a bitter battle at one time. 2 years later things are finally back to normal. The only way I benefited from this was the fact that i was able to get my life back. Some people will never get theres back. Thats why you dont give out information that you dont want others to see online and you just be extremely cautious. Unfortunately in todays world you have to have eyes and ears all around you. Best of luck to you.
