So now I'm in college a sophomore and only 18 year young. I was wondering why do people look at you as cool when you announce your already a sophomore in college but then don't invite you to places cause you only 18 and not 20 as are the other sophomores? I mean we all are still underage so what's wrong with that?

Jealousy rears its ugly head here. Just get use to it or don't tell people you are only 18 and already a sophomore. People in general can be snobs on occaision, for the most stupid of reasons. You have just found another one. Continue working hard like you are and 5 years after graduation they will not snub you for being smart, they'll snub you because you are their boss. Good luck with your college career.

Thank you so much for wishing me luck. But I can't help it when they ask me how old I am, because yes I do look young. But I would truly rather look younger than older. No offense if you are older. And I really wouldn't like to lie about my age either. My closest friends out of state always congratulate me for my accomplishments and some even look up to me. But I guess people are all different in the way they view things.

It's never easy to explain why some people do the things that they do. My advice is that if you want to hang out with them, but don't want age to be an issue, don't share your age. Sometimes people just like to hang out with others that are the exact same age because they assume they will get along better that way.
