Ask a stupid question...

and you'll get a stupid answer. Please note: this isn't really an invitation to ask stupid questions!!! I don't get why some people on here keep posting really stupid things then the next thing they're whinging that they're not getting decent responses from people. What is that all about? What do they expect? I haven't really posted any amazing discussions but most the stuff I think about that I would has already been covered countless times so I really don't see the point in doing it all again. OK so I don't really expect loads of decent replys from this, just felt the need to vent!!

I agree that some of the discussions are extraordinarily shallow, and make me wonder why anyone would bother to post them. I suppose the trouble is that there's such a wide range of ages and levels of interest and intelligence on this forum that you never quite know who it is who's posting something. I get far more annoyed by ones that don't even make sense, particularly if the English is so obscure I can't understand it!

It's good to vent, just as much as it's good to talk. That's why this site is great for 'getting stuff off your chest' and resolving issues. Sometimes the key in asking a question or starting a discussion is how you word it, obviously most questions and topics have been covered by the amount of people on Mylot, but if you word a question or topic differently then it will attract different responses and different answers. By not making a response a yes or no answer you will elicit more of an answer to the discussion. One line of discussion after the title isn't much of a discussion to start on. Therefore a good basis to build upon, rather than what day of the week do you like?
